Congratulations on a successful rescue, Fuel Rat!

Now that the client is safe once again, your job is to make sure (s)he won't ever need our services again. We do this through an in-game debriefing of the client, giving them some pointers that hopefully helps them understand the fuel mechanics in Elite: Dangerous better.  The debrief should be suited to the experience level of the client and the situation that caused them to need our help.  A new player is generally going to need a more comprehensive debrief than an experienced player.

The debriefing can be performed in voice chat, in-game text chat, or if needed, the #debrief channel on IRC. The #debrief channel is primarily for use with players who speak a language that uses a charset that Elite: Dangerous does not support, such as Russian.  It can also be used if the debrief is being conducted by someone other than the rat(s) involved in the rescue who don't speak the client's native language.

Use the flowchart below to assist you in the debriefing process.

Info
titleSqueak with confidence and accuracy!

Being clear and concise with the client is important! Remember that the client may not be nearly as experienced as you are, and some things may need further explaining. Always try to squeak (or type) in a friendly and inviting tone, and don't be afraid to spark up some extra conversation while going through the debrief. Ultimately, most rats end up developing their own style or flare debriefing this way.

Info
title!KGBFOAM

Use "!KGBFOAM [Client NickName]" in the IRC chat to give the player a guide on Galaxy Map functions. There may be translated versions available as !kgbfoam-<language>. see KGBFOAM for current languages that are available

Info
titleWhat's this foam business?!

Rather new to scoopable stars in general? KGBFOAM is your friend! this collection of letters stands for the 7 scoopable star types: K, G, B, F, O, A, and M. the acronym "OBAFGKM" is also commonly used, as it better represents them in order of surface temperature of the star.
